"I have always believed that nature is the ultimate studio.

My name is Thea Vanthe. As an artist, my hands are often covered in either paint or trail dust—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I started The Wild Muse because I believe that the clothes we wear for our adventures should be as beautiful as the landscapes we explore. As an artist, I don’t just look at fabric for its utility, I look at it as a canvas. I wanted to create a collection that honors the feminine spirit with elegant, retro silhouettes, while staying tough enough for the rugged outdoors. I spent years looking for outdoor clothing that spoke to my creative soul.

When I couldn't find that balance, I decided to create it.

The Wild Muse was born from my private sketches and a deep love for heritage style. Each piece in this collection is designed to be a bridge between the studio and the summit. We believe that a woman shouldn't have to choose between looking like a masterpiece and exploring one.
